I agree. I've asked for it on three seperate occassions. Each time I've gone to pick the truck up, he acts like I didn't ask for it. I gave them Monday-Friday with the truck and nobody called me. It's a joke, but its what I expected. Now since I've told them they can have it till its fixed it's really puts the pressure on. I'm sure they are freaking out that they can't figure it out. I'm very pissed that my truck has been tied up so much, especially all summer. I'm giving them till next Friday. If they don't have it figured out by then, then it's clear they have a ****ty unit. And Ill have all the leeway in the world to put a lawyer on their asses

I doubt they are freaking out at all. I wonder if they've even touched it yet.

You should drive by if you're in their area, and see if the truck is still parked exactly how you left it. If it is, highly doubtful they have given it priority at all, and will probably tell you they can't find the problem or give you a BS reason why they need it longer or why they can't fix it.

Not trying to put you down man, just stating what I think of them.

I would call them Monday, and if they haven't figured it out yet, say that you'd like to have it done by Friday. If they give you flak with BS excuses... well, you know what to do.

My two cents.

Also, you should change your signature pic. You should use white text or something lighter colored rather than black. The black text can barely be seen on that dark colored road your truck is parked on, and some parts I can't read at all.

I cant tell if its being worked on, it's inside their building since Monday. I yelled him 2 weeks ago because they never called me before they closed Friday, so I assumed they had it inside. I went to go check around 10pm Friday, and there it was sitting outside in the industrial parking lot with the doors unlocked and the keys in the ignition. I flipped a gasket. I checked last night and it was inside their facility doing god knows what. I think your right though Jason, I'll give them a checkup call Monday and let them know Friday I want it back. If they cant figure something out in 2 weeks, they are either avoiding putting a new unit in, or don't know what they are doing.

What does the BBB say about this trans shop? Have you reported them to BBB?

What is the BBB? What I do know is that these guys are supposed to be the best in southern Maine, obviously they suck or I just got the **** end of the stick. Knowing me, it's problem the **** end of the stick. Can you guys think of anything that would cause the pedal to become sensitive to the touch only in overdrive? All you have to do is tap the pedal and it just flares the RPMs up. They've messed with it a few times and it's become less frequent, but it's still frequent.

PA, when you were doing your transmission, is there an actual wiring harness for the transmission itself? Would a new transmission come with it, or do you use the harness that came with the vehicle? Mark, the manager, always tries to throw in there that the unit is fine, but it's something in the wiring harness, as if to suggest it's not their product, it's my trucks wiring harness. Is their possibility that is correct, or?

Yes, they fixed it when I had them fix the shift points. Here is what's weird guys..

When I had them fix the shift points, the sensitive pedal started in third gear or after 35mph. Then I had them extend the third gear shift point, and fix the hard shift into overdrive. When I got the truck back, the sensitive pedal issue was only prevelant once it got into overdrive. I wonder what caused the sensitive pedal issue to go away in third gear? All I know now is that it's all in overdrive. The first three gears are flawless, even the shift into overdrive is pretty nice now. It's just this awkward pedal thing, and I have not clue what could be causing it. Just seem like all that tweaking they had to do to make it shift smooth caused this. The truck also goes straight into redline at wide open throttle. It will stay in redline unless you manually left off. So that's off too. Just a big mess. It's not my problem though. I paid the money. If they don't figure it out and fix it, I'm hiring a lawyer, that's all I can really think of at this point. Here it August, and my truck is still impaired from the transmission since mid February. What a joke. Wish I had just told my dad to trust me and went with an APS.

Hmm it not shifting at WOT unless you let off sounds like it the TV cable may be adjusted wrong again in the other direction. I wonder if it's too tight. That might not be causing it but I think that it may be one of the issues. When my old transmission was on it's way out and it didn't want to shift if you were on it hard I had the tv cable adjusted so it would let it shift still.

Its possible that its not a tranny issue at all.

IMHO, it is most likely a sensor or computer issue from the sounds of it. When i had a new tranny swapped in there was some gunk on the speed sensor that didn't get cleaned off. It did all sorts of crazy **** because of it. Took us a while to figure out what the cause was as well, since when they test the transmission its on a machine and everything was testing ok, but in real world conditions I had RPM surge and funky OD behavior. The shop was at a loss, I figured it out on my own after they gave up and wanted to have the PCM checked by the dealer.

Some of they not so good transmission shops don't replace the senesors unless bad when they rebuild them so maybe that's what is going on. this is why when I talked to Wayne he said I could get a rebuilt one from him for slightly cheaper but it wasn't a ton cheaper as he still replaced all the sensors and basically everything but the case unlike some companies. Like he said these sensors aren't the most reliable in the first place when they are new and it's certainly not a good thing to ever reuse them. Not saying they did but they may have and that may be what is going on. It's hard to tell.
