OK it is late as hell and raining but I hate to see someone in distress about something like this so in a few minutes I am going to go get under my truck and see what goes where. I will even try to get you a good pic to post up so you can see exactly how it should be. My truck is a 97 but I don't think they changed anything with the transfer case configuration.

Well we had everything except the two vacume lines hooked up(I just pluged them for now) and my brother was filling the system with water and I was about to grab my sct to flash the computer. I had a welder weld a bung on the intake for my mechanical temp gauge sensor. And It leaks water out of the two threads that are showing that are not filled with weld. He must not have gotten deep enough penitration with the weld under thoes threads. So we cleaned up the shop and shut her down, just wait to ppv the ufc fight tonight. We will have to yank enough suff off to drop the motor and pull it forward as far as possible. Then see if it can be welded in place without heating up the sourounding areas too much including the silicone and gaskets(eastwood sells a puddy that you put around your weld to absorb and disipate the heat.). So thats it

Yeah it does and it did. I hope to slide the motor and tranny forward enough to have a tig welder come over and be able to weld up the leak this week. Maybe next weekend guys.

come to find out the fitting that I had the welder try to weld on must have been a type of brass or something. So the plan now is to pull the whole motor and tranny forward enough to work on the problem area (back of the intake). My plan of attack is to grind away his weld enough to get the bung removed and then tap the hole for my bung extention. Here goes!(just got back form the gym did the 300 workout today-draggin ***)

That sucks! He should have known before he struck an arc that he couldn't get it water tight. I can't wait to see how it turns out man. I'm going the other route with mine, getting a 408 crate motor dropped in by a mechanic here. I'd love to do it all myself but I need the truck.
