how does this 360 short block sound?

Seems not.... have a look here. get the numbers off the engine in question, and compare to the chart.

The 360's are pretty close to the bottom.

53020006. or not?

Some of the non-magnums are as well. Get the numbers off the block, and compare them to the chart. And not all the magnums start with a 5 either...... 94-97 shows two possible numbers: 3418640 4027169.... so, see what ya got, see where it is on the chart.

put it on a pallet, and TIE IT DOWN. I had a 440 block bounce around in the bed of my truck once..... that learned me good.

You can also sit it on a used tire then strap it down.
