haha yea important to keep in mind that this is a street truck!

i think the 1.92's with porting will end up a great combo. 1.92's are capable of 270+

I know...Must think street truck....LOL A 408 with 1.92 Magnum R/T heads might reall pull, but check the two piece valves...You can get em for 106.00 off EBAY, they are going in the heads I'm putting on my Ram this winter.

I should buy a new Ram for my business (home builder) for tax reasons, but I HATE HATE HATE the new Rams...God they suck...Gen II all the way.....

I think I'll just build a forged 408 for it....Built 46RE, 4.10 gears (Dana 60), and keep forever.

Sorry...I meant to say check the 1 piece valves on EBAY. The two two piece valves hae let a lot of people down when the start increasing spring pressure.

I'll be following your build. Just finished 408 on my 1995. Bruce at Five O also confirmed to me that if you are in 400hp area you should be running 30lb injectors, which I am running at 49lbs fuel pressure. This is the area which drove me crazy(injector size) as there are those who are running 24's, 26's, 27's, and 30's.
Of course mine is OBD1 tuned by B&G and is running great at Five O's recommended size. Much will depend on your hp and tune as far as sizing of injectors go. Good luck on your build!

You don't need long tubes, get some Spintech mid length headers 1-7/8" primaries/3" collectors...The JBAs are killing you; hardly better than stock.

Sean tunes my Dakota, he's had to pull fuel with the 24s. I know of a number of guys with 11 second 408 Dakotas running stock fuel systems and stock injectors.
you didnt tell me the spintechs were $700!
