Depends on why you are doing it. I seem to remember something about the pattern being 'off', or some such? Don't recall why a fresh hone job wouldn't clean it up, as the engine hasn't been ran at all, cylinders should still be in good shape.....

I would run a bore gauge up 'em, and see what the gauge says. The different texture can fool a finger.
You guys use a ball hone? or flat stones to try and clean 'em up?
That said.... I am not right there to have a look.... so, best I can do is guess. I think I would still try and clean them up with a hone first though.....

yea i feel stupid because i keep calling him and trying to get an over the phone diagnosis and estimate. ive also told him im going to bring it by several times...oops
i know the best thing to do is to get him to ACTUALLY look at it. i know it will run good as is, BUT i like i said, i want it to be PERFECT
