Have you checked for blow by? After I repaired mine I noticed a small amount of oil creeping in from the PCV valve. I put a small filter in the line to catch the coil.

I just read that your oil is in the back. What I was told to do is NOT use the front and rear intake gaskets because it may leak later and are hard to keep in place with install. Instead I was told to use a good RTV like Right Stuff or Permatex and lay a thick bead where the gaskets would go. I did that and let it set up for about 30 minutes before I re installed the intake and so far no leaks. It's clean as a whistle except for the tiny oil that came through the pcv. Good luck!

Also I have a question about the TTY. On my motor the 360 in my ZJ the intake bolts are TTY. The plenum pan is not. Is it different for a Ram 360? Same motor just wondering.

I can only speak for mine..and my SM does not mention anything about not reusing but you should..where or who is telling you that your plenum bolts aren't? I used the front/rear x-over gaskets which were the same as stock and have molded in dowels so the don't shift during install..the rtv black only goes in the four corners..But I just did what I thought was correct. Your not the first to do it the way you did so to each their own I guess..Also a slight amount near the PVC is normal from what I understand...

Hey everyone....Something is weird...im getting 13mpg with mixed driving and 16 mpg on highway...even though i suspect that my plenum needs to be changed..because performance is really bad...0-100 kph in 14 sec...also i have no cat, o2 sensors need to be changed and i have deathflash

what i mean from my long explanation is....does my mpg suggest i have a blown plenum?

Not necessarily. Read through the 77 pages on this thread from start to finish: that will help you identify for sure if you have a bad plenum or not. I know, it is quite a long read, but well worth your time!

Pull the TB off and check for oil pooling inside the IM (use a flashlight) if there's oil going on is blown..that's how you want to diagnosis it..they're to many other variables that could affect MPG, so base it apon the visual inspection..What mpg do you expect? and BTW if I was gettin 13-16 mpg I'd look like this ---->

Patt, you are wrong. Not every bolt that has a torque spec is Torque to Yield. However, all of the factory plenum bolts were TTY. Gotta get both of those correct!

There is some debate on whether or not the intake bolts are TTY..... Service manual doesn't mention anything about it..... neither do any of the 'off-brand' manuals.... one would think that would be a pretty significant detail to neglect to mention.

I don't think they are TTY, I think they are just cheap assed chinese bolts... and replacing them really isn't a bad idea.... getting some good grade 5 or 8 bolts to replace them, and THOSE you could reuse.

that might be a bit much. i think you could have got away with grade 5 bolts. i was told grade 5 bolts were more than strong enough to hold my shocks in. they should be more than strong enough to hold an intake that only requires 70in-lb or whatever it is.
