overheating and radiator under vacuum?

Shouldn't be coolant. No easy way for it to get in there. if it was coolant/oil, it would be kinda milky looking. If you are getting pooling of what appears to be oil, time to do the plenum.

Not unless you blew a head gasket or cracked the block somewhere.... You'd know if you did either..... It's probably just oil. You'll wanna look into changing the plenum to avoid more serious issues down the line.

thanks for your help i dont thing the head gasket is blown doesnt smoke so i guess its plenum time, does any one else sell aftermarket intake manifolds to fix the plenum problem, would like to go that rout but dont want to spend $600 on one

The airgap is the only one I know of... and that is the $600 on in question.

Just do the plenum gasket and replace the plate with aluminum. Using an aluminum plate and shorter bolts in place of the OEM stamped steel plate *******ly guarantees against any future failures.


EDIT: ummm.... yeah, I'm not sure why the word "v-i-r-t-u-a-l-l-y" is being screened, but last time I checked, it wasn't a cuss word... where is a mod to correct this?

didnt fix the plenum issue sorry should have clarified it fixed the overheating issue

Maybe it just got burped correctly after he replaced the tstat?
