So I had to beat the daylights out of my u-joints to get them out. The front shaft where theres two u-joints in one spot, the flange where it meets the transfer case...theres some sort of pivoting ball that both flanges axis on...somehow I ripped that apart. Either that or it was already munched. Am I screwed? This is the first time I've tackled u-joints and I'm hoping this doesn't mean I need a new drive shaft.

If it's the front driveshaft then yes you and I are scewed. I took mine apart and it's over $100 to get it fixed. I haven't done anything to it but if you figure something out tell me!

There was another thread on this, (I believe it was chad's.....) that had links to some of the parts to rebuild the joint.

I suggest taking it to a driveshaft shop and let them rebuild it.

Ya it was my thread, you can buy the knuckle from 4x4 parts for $110, or you can take it to a drive shaft shop and have them fix it for $125ish. I'm just going to jam it back together

And then when it fails in the middle of when you need it, you will be taking to a shop. And spending more money. And it's Quad4x4, I also showed you the parts were available separate.

Ya I agree it's not the best idea but I only use 4wd when doing light offroading. I cant justify spending that much. I saw those parts but I need a machine press and I don't have that.

OK, but, you do not need a press.
