trans problem
#11
I looked in the intake and there is no oil. It is a little dirty so i just did the seafoam treatment through the brake booster hose. Any other signs of that gasket needing replaced? Runs really good with no trailer. Maybe just a good tune up? back on the trans the first shop road around with a computer and said its about 10psi lower then should be but he wasn't worried about it. Any thought on that? Thanks a lot
I'd replace the Gov pressure switch and solenoid.

I might need that gasket you were talking about. I looked in the intake and i see wet spots. also when i gas on it, it sounds like a sucking noise. Sounds like it might be coming from near the air filter housing tho. Doesnt use any oil. o well guess another project on a rainy day. Thanks a lot for you input

I would say that "might" may be an understatement. Sounds like plenum repair needed. Changing the plate is highly recommended - to keep from having to make this repair on a routine basis. Plate can be bought on e-bay for $50, including bolts.

ok great i will check that out. Also 1 last question. my speedometer is about 8mph faster then the truck is going and i noticed last night i have 2 different size tires 245/75/16 on the front and 245/70/16 on rear. could this make speed o be off or have anything to do with trans acting up. I will not run 4x4 until i get all same size. the truck calls for 245/75/16.
