Yep sorry went back and looked again at your post. I scanned it fast last night. You said it was going to cost $590 for the M1, install kit, push rods, & lifters. But then you also said you were going to go to your local Dodge dealer and use your old boss's discount and see if it was cheaper. I didn't really want to try reading thru your whole thread again.

I just looked at Chrysler Parts Direct and this is what I found:

ENGINE / CYLINDER HEAD & VALVES / CYLINDER HEAD & VALVES / VALVE LIFTERS
VALVE LIFTERS All Models 5.9L, GAS

MSRPCore ?Online Price$35.60$0.00$24.92
So at $24.92 X 16 =$398 so I don't know where you found them cheaper. Wish you would have sent me that part number last night. I must not be looking at the right thing on there. Because without your part # I can't find your lifters that you bought.

I have not seen them for under a hun, but here is a link to said parts and part number. The stock Mopar lifters are much more costly than the Mopar Performance lifters.

MAGNUM HYDRAULIC ROLLER TAPPETS
Designed for 1992-02 magnum V8 including crate engines. Service for magnum cams.

P5249862 Magnum hydraulic roller tappets-set of 16 $117.50

http://www.mopartsracing.com/parts/ram.html

Use that part number at any Dodge/Mopar dealer and they can get them for you.

Mark,
I use to have that web page saved in my favorites but some how lost it. And I was looking for it last night. But no worries I got the lifters coming from Odessa and they have already been shipped. So I'll be just fine.

Rick

PS: See I added my truck to my sig for ya.

Redneck,
Yep I saw that once I had the part number. No worries it is too late I had already bought the ones last night and they are shipping today. Funny thing is I did go and get the push rods from Chrysler Parts and they were $28 when I loaded them in my cart and paid for them but when I got home from being in town I had a email saying they had raised the price to $31 so I had to agree to the new price before they processed my order.

Wildman, thanks for posting photo of lifters. I had not seen them from a Magnum before. I have not built an engine in several years, but I always replaced lifters when I did. I just do not like reusing some parts.

Glad to be of assistance. I figured there might be those that have not had a lifter a part before. I'll be glad to get this engine back together and done.

Well good news I came up with a way to get a cam for my engine. And it will be here on Thursday. Here is a link to the cam, http://www.compcams.com/Company/CC/c...?csid=663&sb=2

New lifters will be here Friday but the DANG NAB push rods I ordered from Chrysler Direct that I paid for last Friday haven't even been shipped yet. They are still processing???? So I need to work on the wife's CJ a little so I am pulling it into the garage tomorrow.

Went to a local bike show this weekend and took 2nd Place in the Touring/Bagger class. It was my first time entering any type of car or bike show.

Also put LED lights on the bike this past weekend.

I like your choice of cam. What are you doing for heads? You have .512 exhaust lift on that cam, and stock heads are only good to .480. (no, I didn't read back thru the thread to see. )
