New lifters will be here Friday but the DANG NAB push rods I ordered from Chrysler Direct that I paid for last Friday haven't even been shipped yet. They are still processing???? So I need to work on the wife's CJ a little so I am pulling it into the garage tomorrow.

Went to a local bike show this weekend and took 2nd Place in the Touring/Bagger class. It was my first time entering any type of car or bike show.

Also put LED lights on the bike this past weekend.

Congrats Bud

But where's the pie pan lol.

The Mega Cab would look good with that lift in it.

I'm going to be using EQ Monster heads. They are the 2.02 int & 1.62 ext and springs are good to .540 lift. Also running HS roller rockers w/1.7 ratio.

We might have to work something out about those used lift parts.

Now get that park fixed up, might have to take a trip north for a little camping.

Hhmmm..... not sure if I am doing something wrong, but, the math comes out bad for you with the 1.7 rockers..... I get .544 on the exhaust.....

Nope your math is correct. Talked with Mark about it and he fills I'll be OK so I am going for it. If push comes to shove and I have binding issues with the springs I'll either change the springs OR sell the HS RR & get the Hughes Engine 1.65 adjustable rockers.

Hhhmmmm..... I like to leave .007 to .010 clearance on valves springs on a new motor. The lifters won't be pumped up on a freshly assembled motor, so you won't know if you have a problem till you start it... and if you DO have a problem, you will end up with bent pushrods. Not a good scene. I would either go directly to the 1.65 rockers, or, change out the exhaust springs.

As he has some extra lifters kicking around I will suggest that he make up a solid lifter set and install two of them and do a clearance test. He should be fine, but best to check. I did not know that there are 1.65 adjustable rockers out there, I would sell the HR 1.7 and just get the adjustable rockers it would make life much ezer. When it came time for me to look at RR's it was a no brainer to get adjustables, only a few bucks more and much better to work with.

I didn't know about the 1.65 RR until after I had already bought the HS 1.7 rockers. Or believe me I would have bought them. I'll do what Mark suggested and take some of my old lifters and make two into solid ones and do some clearance tests before I put everything all together.

I could call back to Odessa and check with them too.

Hughes Engines has the adjustable RR arms. http://www.hughesengines.com/Index/p...=&partid=25628

Well the bump stick came today and the tappets will be here today sometime on the Brown truck. FedEx delivers in the morning but cause I live out in the sticks UPS don't come til late afternoon or evening time. Hell at Christmas they have come as late as 8PM. Just crazy. Finally had to call Chrysler Direct Parts today to find out what the HECK was going on with the pushrods I had ordered last Friday. Well guess what???? They will be shipping them tomorrow. Now I have no problem having to wait on stuff if a business will contact me and keep me informed but this place sent me ZERO emails once I had placed the order.
So if you were to ask me I would tell you DO NOT SHOP WITH or ORDER ANYTHING FROM CHRYSLER DIRECT. Just **** poor customer service. I even filled out one of their Contact Me forms 2 days ago and haven't gotten a reply to that.
