Hmm, speaking of stall speed (not trying to thread jack, just curious), what is the factory stall speed on our 46re? Just wondering because I might want to invest in a PATC tranny and I think it's something I'd need to know

I think around 1800 which is the lowest stall I can find unless I spend 1k +.

My reason for asking about the 2200 is because its not as quick from a stop even with the 4.88's i think it should be. It'll move but the power really isn't there till right at 2k then about 3k it really takes off. So I guess the 1800 is what I'll get.

That seems REALLY high....... I didn't put that high of a stall in street cars that regularly drag raced...... rather curious what their reasoning was there.

He said the flash is around 26-2800, that the actually stall would be in the 2200 area. He said and I quote any shop that builds converters and tells you that a 2600 is too high to tow 5k with, builds ****ty converters. There's a video on there site of a 4 door z71 with a 3200 on 33's and 3.73 gears that's his daily driver. I talked to him for about 20 minutes and he assured me I'd be fine. He said it'll drive normal but really get off the line and I'll still be able to tow. You should watch the video, he talks about it a little.

Ah, ok, that makes a bit more sense. How long before you can report back, and let us know how you like it? (I may have to alter my opinion on stall speeds for trucks.... )

It'll be a couple weeks before I get it and get it installed, I'll definitely be reporting back. I can't wait to lay some rubber down lol. It'll already spin from a stop a little and i have to be careful in the rain but after this converter it should be ridiculous wheel spin lol.
