Damn dang I sure am glad I do not live out east anymore. I could not deal with all that rust. Heck I hate it when I end up with a little rust spot. I'd go looking for a new engine in a junk yard or something.
PS: I've got some stock exhaust manifolds and a fuel rail if you need them. You pay for the shipping and they are your's............................................ ......................

Truch was NY area till 2006, then it was down the road from me. I'm Rockford IL, 60 miles west Chicago.
Rest of the truck isn't that bad. Its been a plow truck, plow package from factory. Truck only has 25K or so since 2006. Prolly never washed engine compartment out and it sat out to rot.
So what does a LB(new) run nowadays, and what brand/where to get? I'll price the head check after I inspect it myself for cracks. Maybe I'm better off getting the broken bolts out, and slappin it back together with new gaskets/bolts? Just do an engine swap....I need it to plow this year.

I have seen them for as little as 1200, (not including shipping) or over ten grand. Just depends on what you want..... Stock rebuilds range from 1200, of 3K or so. Quality varies. Some folks swear by Jasper, others swear at them. Same for any other manufacturer.
What kind of shape is the block itself in?

What next? The truck appeared to be leaking antifreeze at the bottom of timing chain cover/front of pan, BUT I assume it was leaking at water pump and going down? Is it possible to leak from timing cover? Thought that was oil?
Gonna hunt down some new heads, plenum, maybe kegger. Gotta get the TB off. Head gaskets looked good, gotta assume the block top is fine. Gonna price fuel rail and injectors. Off to hunt =).
