Update on work done till now:

Changed:

*Oil filter > Wix oil filter brand (oreilly auto parts-$7.50)
*Oil > Castrol GTX HM 10W-30 (5qt Jag) & Bosch Oil Filter (autozone-$24)
*PVC Valve (from stealers-$12)
*O2 Sensor NGK (riebes auto parts/Napa-$56)
*Di-Electric grease compound (Autozone - $9)

Still working on other things tomorrow, like @Wh1t3NuKle said in post #27

Then Monday will take the road up-hill for about 20 miles and then comeback down for other 20 miles
so thats 40 miles and will go straight to smog to see what will happen.

Any other things that i should maybe check?

Thanks for advice!.

(Where will be the cheap to buy the complete set to do the plenum ? - need to do some research on this, i think very
soon will have to get this too,and do it.)

Try early AM (humidity), below 50 deg F (humidity), inflate the tires
(Calif). Remind myself, oil is to expensive at autozone. Best of luck!

You can also get just the plate from EBay, and source the gaskets locally. I don't care for the gaskets that hughes gave me with the plate. (save a little money that way too.)

Hmm, i did not see one on ebay... under "plenum"

and i see at hughesengines the complete set is $119 or just the plate and bolts for $93,

so if you buy the $93 one with bolts and then get all those gaskets, hose, etc will get around there also? around 119 ...

I think the gasket set/bolts runs around 30 bucks or so. The Ebay plate is I think 60, with the bolts. The guy is a member here, but, for the life of me I can't remember his name. He may be out of stock at the moment.

I can't remember his name either but think his wife actually sells them. They come with plenum pan bolts, but you'll have to buy new manifold bolts and an intake manifold gasket set at an auto parts store.

woops, just took another look, ended July 23, '13. Might be SOL except for Hughes.
