If it doesn't greatly improve the problem wasn't a failed oxygen sensor. As for it being right away, well, it'll be about a minute after cold start, when the PCM goes into closed loop mode and the sensor starts to matter.

Well it threw a code, I cleared the code, and it threw it again so the o2 sensor needs to be replaced anyways lol

Wow. Most folks don't ever get to see the DTC for the thing. The last one I remember was a guy here about four years ago who was on his way home after buying a new sensor when the CEL came on. If memory serves he'd been hesitant to swap a sensor without a DTC for it, but finally reached his wits' end.
You'll love the difference a new sensor makes. Oh, there's where all my power and fuel economy were hiding.

Mine check engine light came on as soon as the truck came up to temperature. And I had just ordered my Bluetooth obd2 thing so I waited till it came in, scanned it, cleared it and it came back again so yeah now I'm waiting for freaking snow to go away so I can work on the truck
I thought I moved and got away from this crap. Guess not

From va to ar. Obviously not. Lmao
Now the snow is melted and everything is freezing cold and wet, u think I would have rather deal with snow
Still haven't done anything to the truck, not too sure how I'm gonna get that leak fixed before I do the o2 sensor. Thinking maybe pull the bed bolts from the driver side, make the passenger side loose. Stick a bottle jack between the tire and bed and lift it up till it maxes out, grab another bottle jack and stick a block of wood on it crank it up to max see if that gives me enough room to work, oh the joys of not having a shop or a good bit of tools

The easy but hopefully temporary easy fix comes in a tube or two, Liquid Steel or JB Weld. Just keep in mind that at dawn on day 181 of it being there the gods will make your weewee stop working.
