OK, that's the correct input voltage. Do you by any chance have a test light? If so, test sensor output. just ground the clip end of the test light anywhere, and poke the center wire, crank the engine, see if it blinks. (it'll be weak, as the test light is more geared toward 12 volts.....)

Yes I do have a test light haven't tried that yet, after I did the voltage test, it started raining again. I will try this tomorrow when we are supposed to have better weather. Thanks for the help.

OK I tried the center pin and other non powered pin on the connector from the wiring harness while cranking the engine and got nothing. Grounded the light to the negative side of the battery,

With the sensor hooked up? If so, that implies bad sensor.

Well, I still haven't tested the crank sensor properly yet. More rain again I swear I think I'm living in Seattle instead of the Washington DC area! Anyway,I was reading a post where someone claimed that not all crank sensors work with the truck, you need the VIN. Is this correct? If so, I don't know the deal with the crank sensor I installed, it came new in the box with the truck when it was given to me. Gonna get back on it Monday when better weather comes.

You don't need the VIN. It's as simple as buying a Mopar sensor

It wasn't a Mopar sensor I think it was a Dorman or one of those cheap China made knock offs. I will see come Monday when I test it.

The sensor can test good, but, that still doesn't mean the PCM will play nice with it......
