Battery is disconnected now. I'll try that when i put the iac back in.

Is the connector for the tps supposed to be up or down? I see them both ways. I'll reverse mine and see if it makes a difference.

Should only connect one way. There is a lock tab on the connector, and an 'ear' that it engages on the sensor.

Not sure it would matter then..... depends on how its wired. If it is wrong though, should set a code.

No that shouldn't affect it. My truck has that problem where I can pull the key while in accessory position and I've been running it like that for a year now

Default Update

Well, I didn't have a big enough socket to turn the crankshaft to tdc. 1"1/16 was the biggest I had. Is it 1"1/2?

Heres the wire coming through the firewall from the steering column

Here it clips onto the ground black wire on the ignition coil it looks like

Now the craziest thing is it's hooked up to this button underneath the steering column!

Also this wire here seems to be missing a wire

This brown wire looks spliced into

This fuel injector has the same blue splice attachment but no wire connected

Default Battery

I tested the battery with my voltmeter and it read 12.4v. I'm getting it charged now. I've been cranking it alot but i did drive the truck around the block yesterday so thought that might charge it some. Could the alternator be bad a drawing from the ignition power?

I tried leaving it in the on position to relearn the settings but it didn't work. If i keep the key on for a few seconds before trying to start it it seems to try to start good at first, almost like the fuel is being built up. I mentioned earlier that when I put the key in to the start position i don't hear the fuel pump. I just put a new one in but it seems like it's not getting powered on. I should try some starting fluid.

I pulled the ignition coil off and will test it. Any idea what the ohms should read?

What would keep the fuel pump from turning on?

What would the wire to the ignition coil be thats connected to the button under the steering wheel?

I had a dodge ram before that had problems with the fuel injectors and I had to splice one injector to the other because it wasn't firing.

I'm tempted to take the wire going to the ignition coil and attach it to the injector and see what happens lol.

Any ideas?

No money to rent a compression tester, but a mopar iac, and get a socket to turn the crankshaft.

The spark plug out of the #1 cylinder looks all black. These were all new plugs.

I didn't want to pull the plug wires yet until I get some tape to mark them off.

Are there any air hose behind the engine near the distributor cap that might have gotten knocked off? It's really hard to see back there.
