Spend the money getting the 2500 axles ready. No point doing that job several times.

I like to drive the truck though, but I hear what you are saying . I am still going to work on the 2500 (technically 3500 axles). That's how I learned doing the job several times

Default Parts

Well the Off-Road axles the guy was being difficult and I didn't feel like driving 5 1/2 hours one way (I know odd ). Ending up going to Butler which was still a drive. I got 3.92 Axles (front and rear. Front is the dual piston and the rear is disc), a clean hood (needs paint), gas tank skid plate, overhead console, and a new fuel pump all for $180. I would say that's a steal!!

I thought so to, couldn't pass it up! The axles will get painted and put in! Only thing that sucks is the rear isn't limited slip

Default Parts Order and Maintenance

Well I ordered the engine parts, transfer case indexing ring (front driveshaft angle was causing a vibration), and the torque converter (thanks HeyYou ). Also started to pull the transmission and transfer case to clean them and paint them.

Default More Parts!!

Ordered the transfer case saver (turns out I have the original 2500 transfer case), speedo gear, and the indexing ring. Now it's just a waiting game (I hate waiting ).

Default Disappointed but Happy

I painted the transfer case and decided to see if the snap ring was still in it's place unfortunately (or fortunately depends on how you lol at it) the and ring did not move one bit. Which to me is odd because I beat my truck offroad.

You can look at it as I just spent $60 for nothing because the case is strong or thank God the case didn't blow up

T-case saver is cheap insurance. One less thing to worry about. So far as I am concerned, that is NOT a waste of money.
