Default 98 ram 1500 sport gear ratio help

I have a 98 Dodge Ram 1500 9.25 rear end running 35in tires. The gear ratio is bad it goes about 50 mph in 2nd gear running 2200 rpm. It is 4x4 with the Dana 44 and I was thing 3.90 gears. Does anyone know what would be a good ratio for 35 in y’all tires. Plus it’s so sluggish and uses a ton a fuel getting it going. Granted I know the 360 is a Thirsty motor

Probably 3.55 gears stock. If you are going to go to the trouble of re-gearing, 4.10s at a minimum, 4.56 would be better.

4.56 or even 4.88 if you can find them for the Chrysler 9.25.

And please remember, if you change the rear gears, gotta change the front gears as well. Mismatched ratios will make ugly sounds, right until something breaks.

I ordered from Ron's machining Service when I regeared my Jeep, great prices and good customer service.
