I will check the fluid today and I just want to fix it right lol Ain’t never had a new vehicle so might as well work with what I have

Flushed it and replaced freeze plug it was leaking everything seems to be running fine I had a bad drag link I fixed as well still didn’t fix steering I had a guy look at it he said the drag link was the problem but wasn’t so still working on that

Freeze plug was leaking is what I ment it don’t leak anything but I did notice one of the hoses on the power steering was leaking

Hey replaced p pump today with belt to no success been busy working haven’t had time to really mess with anything else I unhooked the stabilizer to see if that was it the stabilizer is shot but as far as it helping with steering it didn’t do anything the steering got easier with it only acting like it was catching half way threw left rotation then got easier then it went back and got harder as soon as you try turning left no matter if your at full lock right it is difficult

Also forgot to mention my steering wheel doesn’t return to center I’m not sure if it did on these trucks but myn dont

It should at least try and return to center. If it doesn't, have the alignment checked.

Yup gearbox is there any way I can rebuild it myself and fix the issue?

Probably not. The issue is, parts wear, including the little *****, and the channels they run in. Only fix for that is replacement, and just buying the parts, would likely be more expensive than buying the Redhead box..... IF you can even find them.....

Oh alright yeah i think I might have found one I’ll let you know how that goes and if that fixes my problem
