Hey guys I got the Mopar air cleaner from Summit (first order from them and I'll be a customer for life.) Ordered yesterday and got it this afternoon without paying for overnight shipping. I'll be installing it with a Fastman 50mm TB and a K&N filter. I'll let you guys know how it works out here in the south where the weather is ungodly HOT in the upcoming months.

Ya, that's my only concern, how it will do in the heat. July and August here in Colorado can be in the 90's and higher depending on where you go. That's why I kept my FIPK just in case this setup doesn't do as good for those few months. It kicks *** in the winter time though.

What part of South Texas do you live? I'm down here in El Campo, TX and let me tell you it gets hot as hell. Colorado 90 dgrs is respectable I'll give you that but OUR 90 dgrs packs a 100% humidity with it so it feels more like 115 - 120 and I am anxious to see how that air cleaner setup works. I'm in line to get that exact package so keep me informed. Also what was the total out-of-pocket expense for everything including shipping so I'll know how much to put in my piggy bank.

Silver_Dodge I viewed your cardomain page and man you've done alot to your ride and it looks great. Question what is a "flashed" pcm and what are the benefits? Where did you get that trans pan? Man I would like one like that. Is your exhaust 1 in then dualed from the muffler or cat? And lastly where did you get the trans cooler/fan setup and where did you install it? I have a 98 with a 5.9L and the tranny has already been rebuilt a couple of times by the previous owner and man during the Texas summers the heat can be brutal. Thanks again.

My Mopar setup came up to about $110 total. Others on here have done similar for less then $50 though, using the 14x3 filters you can buy at most parts stores.

Thanks. To answer your questions:
A flashed PCM is where a company (in this case B&G) take your stock PCM and reprogram it to work specifically with the mods you have. They also do some other stuff like remove torque management, adjust shift points, raise your idle, etc.... It is like a Hypertech or Superchips programmer on steroids. One of the best mods I have done from a performance standpoint.

The trans pan came from PML It adds an extra 2 qts capacity. http://www.yourcovers.com/tp_9393.shtml

No, my exhaust is single in, single out. It is 3" from the cat out.

My trans cooler came from flexalite, and it is that huge thing installed in the front of my radiator. It is rated at 32,000gvw, so it gets the job done.

Do I have to send my PCM to them or do they ship a programmer type apparatus to you?
