FrenicX, does this guy have the dyno slips?
Full standalone, Forged H.O. motor...if the price is right I would jump on it
The numbers do seem a little high. I'm not sure if you are saying 470 or 540whp but either way those numbers are huge.

I asked him if he has any slips, dyno or track, awaiting a response. In his ad he stated that he ran 15# all day long and at his parkinglot races with no issues, but the only dyno he did was at 12# and got 470whp. He estimates 540 whp at 15# which seems high to me since he also says 600@crank as an estimate. But anywhere near those numbers would be screaming for a 4.7 mopar.
On top of the performance stuff in the other post, the truck also has a boat load of other mods. He also wants to include a full stock motor and stock r/t wheels w/tires.

I agree with Richie, you will generally save money by buying someone's project. Specially when you consider all the hours that they put in it.
Of course it will all come down to a test drive and the right price.
In my opinion if he asks for 10K or under its a steal.
I bought my truck for 12K (2006) and my project has added about 4K. That's not even counting the HOOOUUUURRRRRSSSSSS Ive had to spend under the truck.
Are there any pictures BTW?

To build up my QC would be an awesome learning experience, though I guess learning to fix this one as it breaks would be fun too.
I'm not sure what a good price is for this, but the pvt party kbb on the truck is just under 7k. What do you guys think about that modlist+ labor/trial and error? What would be a good price for ~540whp done right on a 4.7 plus racing suspension and a slew of other mods..?
edit, I looked up the kbb on a QC like Blowns, around 11k. If I recall, he was able to get 18k for his? So he got 7k back for the mods? I think I might have a decent deal here, not a super screaming deal, but a good deal nonetheless.

Yea but I bet you learned a boat load if you didn't know already I'm sure. I'm a bit of a beginner when it comes vehicle mechanics, and a total noob when it comes to boosting, but I'm very ambitious.

To take a stock 4.7 to 540WHP would probably get you in the 6-10K area.
I'm estimating 350-370WHP on my set up and Im close to 4K spent.
As far as learning, you will. Mostly everything in the set-up will need service or replacement at some point down the road, including the turbo itself.
Man I would love to see some pictures of this set-up, or better yet, some slips.
Try to keep it under 12K
