It'll add some pep to it, definitely something you will notice right away. Load in the 91 or 93 tune (fill up with a full tank of either before you run the tune though) and adjust the throttle sensitivity and enjoy.

Just bought a new DSP online, impatiently waiting for it to arrive! The old mega gasser has been feeling like a bit of a slouch lately with the 5" lift and 35's, hoping the DSP will give it some new life. Wondering if the Tire size adjustment will affect the MPG readings on the overhead. Mines been hanging in the 9's since i put on the lift and tires, which i assume is off!

BMCTDM, It should be closer to correct once you get the speedo correct with the proper tire size.

I contacted DS on behalf of my friend and this was the answer

Is this a 4.7L engine?

If so, there are no 91 oct tunes for it, but you can select the 93 tune and subtract 2*(degrees) of WOT timing in the adjustable parameters menu.

So i will do that for him and save the tune as 91 tune, but can any of ram 4.7 owners using U7137 confirm that there is no 91 tune for them ?

just picked up an 04 hemi sport this weekend and the guy had a DSP with the truck, with the truck having 170k what tune would be best for it? it has exhaust no CAI, it was set at the 93 tune and I set it back to a 87 mpg tune. Is there that much diff between the 87mpg and the 93 performance tune? what kind of mpgs yal getting out of the 93tune? with the 87mpg I got 19-21 on the hwy and about 16 on average around the city, i want to put the 93 back on but will I lose some mpgs and can the motor with that many miles handle it?

Wow, 19-21 highway... Holy crap that is good, I'd be happy with that any day. Is this actual calculations or are you reading the mpg display? As far as changing the mpg per tune, depends on a lot of things.. what the parameters are set at, how much you tromp on the pedal ect. If you are aware of your driving habits you should get darn near the same. Just remember that what type fuel you use (87,89,90,91,92,or 93) (ethanol, no ethanol) will effect and determine mpg along with driving habits. With that said, to make it simple with out going into run parameters and chemical make up of gas; to get your best mpg/bang for your buck use a high grade fuel 90 or higher no ethanol and run the 90 tune to get your best mileage.

hope this helps and is what your looking for... As far as what is the right tune for that mileage. Depends on your needs, driving habits, and how well the truck was taken care of by previous owner. If it is in good shape any of the tunes would be fine, the tunes that come with the tuner are pretty tame. It is when you start tweaking them when you might have to worry about your trany or excessive wear from previous owner... Good luck

I just ordered the new intune model after learning they are being phased out, besides by the time you buy the interface kit your only 40 bucks short of the new model. Does anyone know if the tuner runs on top of android os like the act vivid? And if the screen is capacitive like iphones droids etc or if its like the garmin navigation tomtoms etc where u need to put pressure to make selection, would also like to hear your opinions....Thanks
