yeah...got it all figured out....it dinged and said it sucessfully did it....and i confirmed it with DS....but there is no definite way to really see what the setting are.
only 2 things i screwed with in the menu was mds (which i dont think i have anyways but set it to off) and the tire size...im too chicken at the moment to screw with anything else.

Aw you're not tapping into what this thing can really do with an 05' then... I have a list of shift points on the first few pages somewhere of a good starting point for the partial up/down and WOT setting, you need to play with the throttle sensativity and as long as you stay away from the fuel and spark adjustments until you get a wideband and do some logs, you wont hurt anything.
Yep, turns out it was using the wrong baud rate for the downloads, changed it to the correct one and it worked like a charm. Now I am working on getting a custom tune for it... and later the 268 goes in.

Alright this is what I told him to answer some of the questions he had,
Right now my Shift Schedule is this:
Downshifts (+/-)
2-1 at 5% 1325
2-1 at 80% 3000
3-2 at 45% 4100
3-2 at 55% 4750
3-2 at 75% 5250
Upshifts (+/-)
1-2 20% 1927
1-2 30% 2891
1-2 60% 5151
1-2 80% 5450
2-3 15% 1800
2-3 25% 2200
2-3 60% 5390
2-3 80% 5550
WOT Shifts
1-2 6100
2-3 6000
Rev Limiter
6300
Those are a combo for both comfort and performance, they make the truck just feel right, it also runs a bit quicker than what the canned tune has with those points.
You still get the kick down, just not as much since that has more to do with the throttle sensativity and the fly-by-wire throttle so it takes a second for the computer to read that the peddal has been mashed to the floor. Mine has gotten much better though since I added a ported throttle body.
For the throttle sensativity, start with plus 10 and add from there til it feels right. Mine, with the ported TB, really liked +10.5 but that was because it was so much more sensative with the ported TB. With the stock TB I know a few guys have just cranked it all the way to +20 and really like that setting, so do what you want until it feels right.
Right now though, my engine has a custom tune in it (just the PCM) so I really cant tell you what some of the engine parameters are set to but I can say it is running soooooooooo much better and feels like it has quite a bit more power than it ever did running on diablos canned performance tune.
I have also been looking into a transmission custom tune as well but I only know of one guy that is attempting that and he has not been doing it very long so I am going to wait to see how his tunes go before I see about getting one for the TCM.
Also I would suggest going to the 9r09 CROM if you have not updated to it yet. Before the custom tune I swapped to it and it felt like the tune was a little more aggressive than the previous verssions. But again now that I have the custom tune, it completely blows those tunes out of the water. If you really want the most out of your truck, a good custom tune is definately a must.
If you need any other information feel free to ask.
