Yes the deal comes with buying the kit. What seems high in comparison is the CalTrac bars. They are almost as much as the drop kit. But if you want it right, you got to pay or build it yourself.

I didnt put a lowering kit on mine with spindles due to the weight of the aftermarket spindles I found in one kit, they weighed almost double what the stock alumium one weighs, I puts in lowering coils and a smaller shock and axle flip kit in the rear for a 2/4 drop it rides and handles great in my opinion.

Brother, it is purely a personal choice, determined by the owners vision of the look he wants his vehicle have. Usually the vision is compromised only by utility and dollars. Some are lowered a little and some are extreme. But I think it can be said without exception that a well engineered lowered vehicle takes on a performance car attitude. Even without other modifications the truck feels faster, more performance oriented. And of course it's appearance readily indicates it has been modified. And all racing vehicles other than off road are lowered to some degree, this enhances the performance image on the street. And from the practical standpoint there is good reasons performance vehicles are lowered because they have less drag and are more stable than stock at high speeds. Again, it is a personal choice much like colors, This is like describing what is "cool", it's different for everyone. However, I perfer mine low, dressed in red.

I've opted for spindles for a couple of reasons. No geomentry problems, stock lenght shocks and I'm already on my bumps.
