Unless you turn the key and let it learn the pramaters
I do remember doing a recal on mine a long time ago not awful long after I bought it, and it seems like you turned on the key to run position, pushed the pedal all the way to the floor, then let up all the way, and you would hear a ding, then start the engine.

I also found the accelerator pedal sensor section in the FSM and there is no mention of it.

Perhaps I'm just showing my age. Sorry to the OP if this caused you any additional problems

The only reason i said something is because i was told to do the same thing and had seen many videos of people doing it. Then i learned on here after telling someone to do it, i was instructed to look in the FSM and like you said it showed nothing.
I have found that it works for the 2500s and 3500s

I guess teaching him how not to get ripped off next time doesn't count, huh? Glad they got a Roscoe P Coltrain like you patrolling the forum to keep the peace.

It clearly states in the service manual that this procedure is for diesel trucks only. For the Hemi you simply turn the key on and wait 10 seconds before starting. This is the biggest myth about our trucks that keeps recirculating over and over.
Grounding the TB is the OPs' best and least expensive bet at this point.

He asked for help on his truck he didnt ask for "How Not To Get Ripped Off".... so get off that topic. Why dont we try to help the OP instead of all this?

Yes Thank You i wasnt sure if it was the 2500s and 3500s or The CTD.
I had heard about the Gas recalibration 100 times and figured id give it a try, then i told some one to do it and was quickly delt the right info. And yes i second grounding the TB it may help may not but all in all 5 bucks

Default Need to blow up truck..

I just wanna start saying thanks for the help.
I like this forum cause there are so many post about your trucks that I have read that have helped me out and that to me is what its here for to help others and for others to help you.
To the one single person that thinks posting smartass remarks about my wife, grow up and if you have nothing good to say dont post.

To this date with all the parts i have bought, i bought them myself by figuring out what it could be except for the dealer telling me about the battery.
I have worked on the truck on weekends and evening trying to figure what it could be by buying parts and im the only one to be blamed for it. Buti'm trying.

I did the throttle cable ground this evening and and reset the computer and hooked the batery back up after 20 mins and im still at the same situation.
I am willing to try things you guys suggesrt cause i need this fixed and once again thanks for all your help....and thats why i love this forum for the ones that help.

You're welcome.... I have some questions.

Have you tried the brake cleaner spray method to find any vacuum leaks?

Also, does this happen only when the truck is in gear? or does it happen in Park/Neutral as well?

Does it only happen when the car is warmed up or only when it's cold?

When you let off the gas from cruising does the car surge forward for a few seconds or does it immediately seem to slow down?

I too, had similar problems and tried everything, had read somewhere about a slightly low transmission level causing this, yeah ok low transmission level will make my truck stall, did not beleive it but what the hell I will look into it, level always seemed ok but wasnt sure I was checking it properly, so I checked 1 day when I was able to get everything good and hot (30 mile trip ), sure enough 1/2 quart low, wouldnt you know after adding this 1/2 quart truck has not flamed out and idle is much more stable, not sure if would help you but is certainly worth looking into may only cost you a quart of tranny fluid.
