This ain't the 60s and 70s when trucks were built like tanks. But if you want help from the members here it's best not to insult the brand we like. Man up and grow a pair and fix your ****, dude.

You sir, Are the whiny little bitch.

My truck was doing the same thing... and it was caused by the o2 sensor going to ****. Could be the same issue?? Crawl under it and unplug it and see what happens..

If it idles fine and isnt all loopy... then its the o2 sensor. Out of all the threads I read on here about trucks with ****ty idles is caused by a crappy o2 sensor 99% of the time.. Any body know when it was replaced? I didnt see him mention anything about it.. Op, have you replaced em before?

There was a guy on here the other day arguing with i think Izero and I about P0300 saying that the o2 could not cause that problem.

Yup, I believe I won that argument... but it was that an O2 sensor CAN cause that problem... #winning!

Default Need to blow up truck

I had a smkoe test done on the truck for vac. leaks and and then they found my intake leak and since that was fixed about a week ago i do notice i have alot more power. But I was reading some info on a web site last night saying if u have had a vac leak for a while you could get a buildup of carbon on the o2 sensors so i was planning on takeing all 4 out tomorrow.
I am also going to pickup a can of seafoam but are there diff. kinds? thats what Lordco auto up here says.
I will pickup a can of brake cleaner and check again for vac. leaks and see if any.

But it idles up and down in park or in drive.
I ahvent noticed if it surges while driving except while i turn a corner i seem to have a little more engine speed sometimes.
I am going to out in the yard tomorrow working on these things to where it gets me...

Thanks All..

First thing I'd do is find a different dealer because THE TSB put out BY CHRYSLER says you need to erase the PCM and re-program it to fix the issue. They should have this bulletin and procedure on file. As per the TSB:

The reprogramming procedure requires access to software and equipment that most owners do not have. The very long and involved programming procedure will not be posted here. To see the specific instructions, you can obtain or view a copy of this TSB at your dealership.

Secondly, I've erased my PCM and re-written it many times. EVERY time you use a tuner to tune it, you can read on the screen that it copies your PCM to the tuner, erases the PCM and writes it's tune to it. So for a tech to say you can't over-write your PCM to me means you need another tech/dealer.

ALSO, if you DO NOT have a PCM software update sticker in the engine compartment, then your PCM has not been updated. Chrysler mandates that ANY TIME the software is updated/modified, that a “Authorized Modification Label” p/n 04275086AB, be placed in plain view. No sticker means you are running the same faulty software that the truck shipped with.

IMO, your dealership is either A) woefully undertrained, B) extremely lazy or C) lying or is a combination of the three.

In the mean time, GROUND YOUR THROTTLE BODY, although I've not heard it fixing flat out stalling issues, it DOES help maintain idle fluctuation and may very well help. It's free or damn close to it and can't hurt...
