I continue to hold my breath. They could not give me ETA of my seat cover.

I do believe they are taking this very seriously and doing something about it now.
Regardless of their future.
I know my dealship is taking the problem very seriously. This is seat cover number 2 for me.
there is now a tech tip out for techs to contact rob or ravi prior to replacing. probably so they can try to figure out whats going on & how bad. chrysler definately should be taking this seriously. these seat covers are fairly expensive, gonna suck for them to warranty it out few times per vehicle times how ever many vehicles get it. not to mention what warranty pays us techs for the labor of it.
covers for 1 seat are about $1000 total for warranty price, 400 for one, 600 for other.

Have you contacted Rob or Ravi?....maybe had a reason or just curious.
I am curious to know what either would say.
Wondering whats going on.

Service director here tells me Ravi wrote and asked for the part number for my seat cover.
Mine has no part number. Ordered through engineering, not the normal channels....as you have seen you can't do now. Basically teling me Ravi is lost.
I do not know either of these people. Just going off emails the director shares with me.

Shot in the dark you might know something more. Dealership here knows nothing yet.

none of our people here know anything about any of this. mine was the first one taken care of. i get the feeling my managers just wrote it off as my seats and only mine were bad. itll probably be a few months before we get more and more coming in with this. ive only seen about 30 out of our maybe 100 trucks w/ the cooled seats. not too many on the road up here yet. so our guys are gonna learn a lot off of mine.

EDIT: were pretty slow at work right now, so i might give of them a call this week since theres nothing better to do

Thanks for leading the charge on this blue. My (heated) seat center looks stretched and wavy after only 300miles. Hopefully Chrysler addresses it with a quality fix soon.

Chrysler better do something about this. Come on you're not the only car manufacture to offer heated seats. Get your suppliers to step up, OR should we all look into some other car company? Then even chapter 11 won't be of much help to you.
If Chrysler reads this, this is the message to them. We like the truck, but you've got to fix this.

Lets hope.
As I said, the seat covers ordered for mine are not a stock part number.
The stock ventilated seat is no longer available to dealers, so we know we are getting somewhere.

I went through a mechanical issue with Ford a few years back. Told me to jump in a lake for a year. Time it was over, a recall of every truck of that design....that truck was past warranty.

So far with Chrysler I have just sent 2 certified letters of non conformity to Chrysler and my attorney.
Sent many e-mails, lots of trips to the dealership.

I hope they will address this issue without anything further on my end.
Actually think they are....they have to do something.
Replacing my seat once a month is not an option....they suggested that last month.

This thread has helped bring attention to a problem. Chrysler and my dealership have been here.

I will get an update Friday as mine is going in for yet another problem.

Took mine to the dealer yeaterday for the seat. All the service guys were looking at it surprised, said they hadn't seen anything like it. Apparently they're not selling many trucks with those seats.

Anyway, they finally figured out that the seats couldn't be ordered and that pictures had to be taken. They said chrysler should have this worked out within a week and I will get a call to bring the truck in for a replacement seat.
I'm not holding my breath.

Blue,
I got an idea, you're obviously going to win this battle with Chrysler, but there are not too many folks like you, so I really don't want Chrysler to drop this issue once they serve you. So let's get the (Chrysler) to get this issue up to recall stage.
Here is the idea. How about making a video of the truck and the seats and posting it on Youtube. Describe the problem, describe what you had to go thru with Chrysler etc. And email link to Chrysler and post one on this forum.
There are A LOT of people searching Youtube for "Dodge Ram 2009" videos, and once they come across yours, well that's not good for Chrysler. I think it might be that final push they need to take this down.

Or Better, why not everyone with the same problem make a Youtube video.

Just ask yourself wouldn't this truck be nicer with proper leather seats???

Chrysler's got to fix this.

I have had my truck for 9 days and have less than 300 miles on it and mine are now starting to get "the wave" in the center section. I will be going to my dealer about this as well. I prewarned them about it after I had ordered the truck and came across this thread. They stated that they have not had any issues with the seats and it was probably a "bad batch of leather". Evidently they are still on the same batch.

I would like to see this taken care of as well. LOVE my truck, hate the seat wear issue.
