Seat wear
Man, that is a bummer that some of you guys are having the issues with your seats. I have 3500 miles on my laramie with the tan seats. I have zero issues with tears, and abnormal wear. I have very little stretching, but I would say they have faired very well with my 215 pound behind. One thing I have noticed is there is a retaining clip under the front of the seat cushion. This clip is made of plastic and sometimes it slides of the frame of the seat. Every now and then I have to reach under the seat to reattatch the clip. Maybe some of the clips on these trucks are sliding off and not keeping the leather stretched, therefore making the seat wear out abnormally? I try to clean m seats at least once a month cause the brown leather gets dirty easily. I don't know if maybe thats why the leather has held up better or maybe I am just lucky. The build date on my truck is 09/09 and I bought it towards the end of February.
Anyways, my truck has been fantastic with zero issues. Sure there are some things I get irritated with; like the blinding shifter chrome and strange idling when the HVAC system isn't running, but overall this truck blows my 07 Chevy out of the water. I had leather in that truck also. It was black and it was worn pretty quickly, and developed waves as some of you guys have in your truck. Before 10,000 miles the black leather had wrinkles in it. On top of that my rear main leaked oil and it took five service visits to get it fixed. On top of that when pulling the transmission they found a seal leaking on the tranny. Not to mention I could never seem to get the rattles fixed in the truck. Every MAKE HAS PROBLEMS. The dodge I own has been great, and has been worth the car note every month. My Chevy just wasn't worth the note. Good luck to you guys that are still dealing with this problem, but don't knock the truck for the crappy seats. Right now owning both GM and Dodge the Dodge beats out the GM ten fold in quality. GM's seats do the same thing, and they won't replace it. Beleive me I tried it.
Respectfully,
Josh D.

My wife is just over 40 and she has stretch marks, time to get her leather replaced LOLOL
I don't have leather seats in my truck but like jdolotina stated, the plastic retaining clips under my seats have broken and my truck is only 2 months old. It broke about a month ago so the truck was one month old. However, even though my seats are not leather, they still look new with no wrinkles or visual signs of wear.

Well, this weekend I spotted three short cracks in the leather on the driver seat. They are fairly short, one is about 1/2 of an inch and the other two are a little less ie crack between three ventilation holes. They are all located in the same area on the front seat, on the left side near the front. I am absolutely amazed that this has happened to a truck that is only 1.5years old with 18k on the clock. I use it is a daily white collar commute car, not for work ie not tools or other sharp objects on the seat or in my pockets.
Anyone seen the same? Any experience with Chrysler dealers response to this?

I know the thread is long, but a lot of the answers to your questions, from several folks, are in this thread....
I feel your pain. My 09 sport after 20k miles driver seat ripped. Seat began to crease then finally ripped. Dealer replaced under warr. but what will happen after warr. Notice the 2010 sport has a different leather the the 09.
