Is this a real recall that affects all trucks no matter the milage or is it just an RRT for trucks under warranty?

My dealer said it was a recall. Mine should hopefully be in late next week.

I'm going to ask and see if I can keep my old seat covers (can't hurt to ask), since they're in pretty good shape (only some light stretching from my wallet) after 33k miles.

I'm not sure If you understand there are two different ventilated seats on the trucks. One has a sewn seam along the front edge. These are the ones under the recall. They also use a different foam underneath. The replacement covers should still have the stitching too, so they will match your back seats.

I have seats without the seams, so they are not under recall (yet).

Can someone post a pic of the seat after they replaced the cover?? Does it look exactly the same?

I had mine done!! They replaced both front seat skins.

They match perfectly with the rest of the seats.

The vented portion is heavier, thicker, feels like better quality.

Took them about an hour to have it done.

I am happy with it.

Is your truck a 2009 or 2010?

Does it affect the ventilation operation of the seats?

My truck is a very early model 2009.

I did not try the heat, but the cooling worked the same.

Man you guys and your sweaty asses. LOL The plain YES material has some type of weave on the bottom my wife tell me is not even really hot in the sun...I can't feel, and you don't sweat, but you can tell it's vinyl on the sides. I will be ordering Katzkin seats I feel.
