Talked to CS at dodge and they verified that if the vehicle is under warranty the update is covered, took it in the AM and the SA is still standing on charging me, so I gave her the info. my case number and shes like well I have to check with the District Mgr, said thats fine and I would bang some heads until I got results, I then called a competitor dealer and they said sure bring it in we'll flash it under the warranty, I informed the SA of the competitors ability to accomadate me and she didnt seem to care, so when I go to p/up my vehicle later and If its not done under warranty I will be filling a complaint with Dodge. I was hoping to see the service Manager the morning but he wasnt there, he has always addressed any concerns I had.

It always baffles me the depths some businesses will go to try to suck as much money as they can from you. Many don't seem to realize that keeping a customer happy with a small thing like this (spend 10 minutes with a scanner and update the truck) goes a long way to getting more and repeat business. Conversely, giving the customer a hard time and nickle & dimeing them goes a long way to driving business to their competitor. Even if the other dealer isn't any better they are at least the better choice until you learn they suck too.

Dealer is running a claim on doing that. Its not FREE.Chrysler pays for ALL updates. They don't expect the dealer to do any for free.As long as PAPERWORK is done correctly.Tech gets paid for doing the update, the owner of the dealer makes a penny or two and so does the SA if they are paid on commision.

Great! Were you able to get it at Mann? I purchased my '99 Ram at their Mt. Sterling facility back in '99. They were pleasant to deal with then and at that location. Good luck!

yeah I had to have the manifold and possibly the manifolds replaced, still waiting on the ECO, dam SA never looked into it, Dodge CS called and I gave them 10 on there service buy the SA a 0, Dodge CS said to call back if the dealer does not comply, I made an appointment 1 week ago for balance/rotate and to have the vinyl sticker replaced on the Right rear door it was already in the system cause the last time they did not have it when they replaced the one on the driver door, they also were to have the rubber moulding on window bottom edge cause it was scratched by the tech sub who did the work, you think they would of had it ready for todays appt. not! and in the am no word of the RRT for the manifold had to get that tidbit this afternoon, they gave me a car overnight as I have a Batt. chief exam tommorow, tried to find the SMgr, but he was out today, will be speaking to him tomorrow for sure.
