i agree, especially if you are going to upgrade your alt... I would personally upgrade to an Excessive Amperage HO alt and at which point the 1/0 gauge wiring is more than acceptable in that application... But if you are going to just run the 2 amps with no additions in the near future... it is fine to run the 4 gauge... Also this is just me but i tend to run 8 gauge on spl applications to my subs... From the Sub to the Amp... but thats only in the one application i had done with a RE Audio SX 12 on 2kw

8 awg is huge....if u can find 10 use it....if not 12 is fine. I skimmed the thread and couldnt find it......are you using an aftermarket head unit? If so connect the remote turn on lead to the blue/white wire. If not you have to connected it to a switching 12v+

I am using an aftermarket head unit. It is a Pioneer DEH-P7700MP...So I pull out the head unit and tap into the blue/white wire to connect the remote turn on lead? That sounds pretty easy!

I ran all of the wires inside my cab... So I am sooooo close to installing the whole system, but I am still waiting on the carpet to cover my amp rack!!! I can't wait to get the carpet... Once I get the carpet the system willbe installed.....

The install is going even slooooower due to me being out of town all the time! I am only in town for about 2 days a week! But once I get the carpet... I plan on staying in town until the system is all done!

oh sorry i didnt really explain this all to well but the 8 gauge i use is just power wire... U can find that anywhere but 12 gauge is fine i was just saying that you use that when u are running over 1500 watts per sub or VC... Hey Habeba86... i dont know if u remember me but i used to be on this forum for a bit. I remember u having the RE Sx sub as well... I cannot for the life of me remember my last name on this site.

Alright... I have another update for you guys, it's nothing too exciting but I figured I should keep you informed!

I get the carpet to finish my amp rack Wednesday.... This was what caused the HUGE delay! The guy I was getting it from was waiting to get more in from his supplier.... So that was an extra week of nothing but waiting [:@]!!!

So once I get the amp rack carpeted (Thursday!!) all I have to do is mount the amps and mount the amp rack to the sub box..... Then just plug and play from there... And then it will be POUNDIN' [sm=yeahsmile.gif]!!!
