Say GOODBYE to Chrysler.
As to the original post, I was reading the paper today and there was an article about the Ford display at the big auto show and that Ford's quality is now better than Toyota. The article mentioned a quote from the editor of consumer reports saying that "Chrysler will not survive and they do not deserve to because their cars are crap." Saying initial quality was terrible. I have had no problems with my 3 bought in 08 and they are not crap.
Many people think the CR is the bible and they believe everything that they read and may very well put them under.

Oh, I Know, but the gullible public more than likely does not.
I never even looked at a GM when buying new vehicles. Way too many wiring issues and other cheap parts. Only Dodge or Ford for me.

Two of the best cars I've owned were a 1993 Ford Escort Wagon and my 2002 Chevy Cavalier. Platinum plugs in the Escort (5-speed) and she'd get 400 miles out of a tank of gas even with the A/C running. I was **** about maintenance on the Cavalier (what impressed me is it had a timing chain) and she was good to me for 147,000.
Ive not had any problems with my 02 stratus, other than the battery dying when i dont drive it in the winter...and weve really not had any major problems with her 94 ram.
I know that when i went to the ford f150 media launch, the interior quality of the ford and the ram far surpassed the toyota and chevy.

when i worked at a shop, a great deal of my business was cavaliers...but you cant just consider the car, but the people who buy them (no offense to present company). most of my cavalier-owning clients were girls, typically younger...whose parents got it for them, and they take no care of the car.
Well yeah, almost any car can last 100 years, and absolutely any car can be killed in a month, it's all on the owner. Ofcourse some problems can't be helped by routine maintenance and careful driving.
i agree..when i worked at the dealership, and from reading on various forums, i see a ton of people complaining about problems with stratus RT coupes, but ive never had them, nor did derrick, and i dont think that chase does either...but i saw the problems first hand.
