Default Caravan front end clicking noise when turning.

I have a 2003 3.3L Caravan. For the last while I have noticed a front end clicking sound when turning the wheels left or right. It seems to me to be coming from the front right tire. I replaced both sway bar links but still have the problem. I noticed that if I come to a stop and the turn sharply left or right and accelerate I hear the clicking. The frequency of the clicking increases as the speed increases. When driving at speed and turn I don't hear it.

From what I read here I should replace the sway bar bushings next.

Do bushings cause a clicking sound when there are failing?

Has anyone ever experienced this sort of problem?

If es, what did you do to fix it?

Thanks.

You have a bad C.V. joint, replace the bad axle.

Default cv joint

I would get that cv joint fixed asap. I had one break while i was driving a 2005 Caravan it will scare the crap out of you if it brakes while your driving it.
Mine did the same thing but i didn't know what it was and could get into the dealer for a week.

Just picked up the cv today, will give it a go this weekend.

Been looking ono the alldata site and the procedures seems straightforward. Will report back, hopefully mission accomplished.

The hardest part is that damn 32mm axle nut!

You'll need the biggest cheater bar you have to get that sucker loose.

After that it's not a bad job.

Advice- Be MOST careful with the trans seals! Leaks suck!! Lube the new shaft before you install it.
