4040xl I think...it's just the muffler w/o the resonator. they were not offering the discount on the tip/muffler combo (I tried). I figure with the Magnaflow behind it the tone should be acceptable. $135 shipped...

 

I believe the XL model is the resonated version.

Just make sure it's mounted with the ribs to the back.

Remember ..... the shop I took it to mounted it wrong the first time and they gave me a hard time about flipping it around, but after a converstion with the guy's at Aero they finally did. WAAAAY too much agg !!! Bring it to their attention in the beginning ( I did, but obviously they chose to ignore me ) and make sure you check it before you leave. Just a tip !!

OK, so now I see why it brings back low end torque... the center section is smaller in diameter, 3~3.5" forcing the balance of the flow to the outside where it gets baffled and re-introduced into the exhaust stream. that 3.5" flow to me is like knecking the 4" down some to add the low end tq back, it'll be interesting to see how it flows.

I'm also wondering how I can put some #'s on the before & after install... any ideas on it? I'm thinking egt's at 65 on flat hiway (cruise control) before & after. I'm betting they will go up some from my current setup.

any ideas?
