I was test fitting everything under the hood and finding a place for the ballasts and realized the relay harness passeneger side wire is only long enough to go across the front of the engine compartment. This would route the cable (in the rubber jacket) from the relay over the fan shroud/radaiator and past the radiator over flow, and over to the passeneger light. This would most likely expose the wire to high temps (maybe low enough not to be a problem?)

Do you recommend i cut your harness and splice in some primary power wire and run it around the back of the compartment or do you recommend the shorter route?

Its a 2003 dodge ram 1500.

Not sure how long yours is but I ran mine from frame rail to frame rail under the truck. You could also zip tie it to the sway bar ss long as you leave a little slack

awesome, thanks man, that is what i was thinkining (from frame rail to frame rail) was going to mount the ballasts on them too. I wanted to make sure it was safe tho, didnt want headlights going out on the highway due to melted wires lol.

also the relay i got has a std square automotive relay but i have a bixenon kit, i have read about half of the hid troubleshoot thread and if i read your post on page 6 or 7 correctly, this relay harness is not for bixenon?

I have pictures of my setup and install in my signature link.

The relay you have with the standard 12V square 4 or 5 pin relay is for the xenon setup and not the bixenon unless they have additional relays in the harness.

**** so i shouldnt use it? it seemed to have plenty of amperage.

i am not understanding how bixenon even use more power anyways, they are 35w or 35w pointed up?
