I tried.....it bent the extension

Removed dash to finally replace heater core and evaporator. It's been leaking a few years now and don't trust any shop to touch my dash. I saw a dealership destroy one in a work truck. It's a big job, no really good writeups on the task either. I had the ac evacuated last year. Replaced the evaporator core was 70 percent blocked with caked dirt and pine needles. It was nasty. I was being gentle and created 2 nice long cracks in my flawless dash just from the weight and flex. Spent all day on it taking my time amd only got the air box put back together with new cores. Got new o-rings for the AC. Going to finish up tomorrow.

Replaced my headlights and installed the relay wiring harness from LMC. Converted the single bulb headlights on my '97 Sport to the dual bulb setup seen on the '98 and up.

What did I do, I blew the bugs out in E Town.........Speaking
of blowing the bugs out, I've found if this old truck goes two
days without being started, it runs sluggish the first 2 miles.

Driving home the other night she shut down on me. Luckily, I was in the neighborhood and not on the freeway doing 70. After 30 minutes of poking around under the hood, I moved the wire loom that was setting on the bolt that holds the air hat on. It was a miracle! Truck started right up and finished the trip home. Took a look today and the wire loom split was open a smidge allowing one of the wires to rub on the nut, wearing through after a bit, and shorting out. Gave the dreaded "No bus" error. Taped up and double insulated the offending wire, problem solved. Whew!
