Of recent I noted the a/c cutting out during prolonged acceleration (wild vents)... so I know I have a vacuum leak somewhere.
Well, yesterday the blend door just dropped (heard it), and the a/c is coming out at the windshield... the selector does nothing now.
So I’m guessing my little leak is now a severed line.
I have in the past repaired the line where it comes through the firewall.
This afternoon I’ll be looking for an obvious break in the line, but figure I’ll likely have to pull the dash.
If that’s the case, I’ll be looking for another heater box to rebuild beforehand.

[Edit] Problem found... the line broke just before the previous repair... tomorrow I’ll try to remove the broken stub from the repair and go again.

Finally hit my mark. Bought the truck June 4, 2001 with 40,840 miles on it. Just turned 240,840. My goal was to put 200k on it myself never thinking it would happen. New goal is 250k then who knows.

Fan clutch wasn't keeping up with the summer heat so the extreme duty one went back in last weekend. Temps are now stable and the AC is back to being ice cold at low speeds.
