Went camping last night. Slept in the bed, and some drunking a-hole "me" locked the keys in the truck. Tried using a VERY sharp knife to pry the slider window open and long story short. 6 stiches and no more nerve in my finger. Stupid China made knife. The blade lock failed and I basically punched the window with my finger in the blade. To the bone. The doctor complimented my knife sharpening skills. It's been a good day!

I've sliced four of mine to the bone but missed the nerve every time. I'm sure you know that kind of sick feeling you get when you get hurt and it looks bad but you don't know how bad it is. Yeah, I've had that feeling before but luckily it actually wasn't that bad (see quote).
So is there any chance that the nerve will grow back together?

Not sure if the nerve will heal, not a doctor, but all I did was have it stiched up and went home. It's funny though, someone actually said they will pray for me.... I think there's people out there more in need than I am. Went out last night a bought a 30 pc. vehicle lockout kit. Anyone want a Jaguar? HAHA

I've had to break in my truck a couple times, first was pulled up on job site and left the truck running locked the keys inside , luckily no one was around to see me, i used a leather man blade to pop the rear slider latch, second was at the parts store got all my stuff and left the keys on the seat locked in, so i dug thru my toolbox and found a flat head to pop the rear slider latch, it was next to a small strip mall and mcdonalds , people were prob sctracthing thiers head as i climbed thru the rear slider, lol, time for a hide a key???? i got the breaking into my rear slider down pretty good.

I was watching a truck show the other day and their suggestion for the locking the keys in problem was a hide a key, but they didn't like the magnet idea so they used a bolt and a wing nut in a well hidden area to secure the spare key. I'm thinking inside one of the holes in the side of the frame would be a good spot.
