There are a couple places around here that do that trick, but, all it is is just a big well, and then plumbed to the houses in the area. (several hundred of them.....) I don't think it's treated at all.... might run thru a filter, but, not gonna hold my breath on that.

noticed I have to tap the head light switch for the dash illumination to come on. weird

Im on well water as well and it has lots of iron in it, so much so that when I re-tiled our shower I used rust colored tile and grout so I didnt have to worry about it getting stained, lol. I would like to buy a filtration unit with some of our tax money, but everything I have read so far has just left me confused on what will work effectively. Anyone succesfully treat theirs? Any input?

Need to dig into that, and see what's up. Headlight switches are know problem causers..... right up to burning down the truck.

Sounds like I need to pull the bezel off and take out the switch. It literally just started doing this tonight.

never had experience with them, but alot of people reccomend a softener that uses magnets.
