It may cover, which would explain why I missed it. I had put tail lights back in an =d out over the last several weeks to run to town and such. I'll let primer cure for several hours and try it.

Thanks.

not much left now. when you shoot your first coat of primer give the areas that you sanded down to metal 2 coats first then shoot the whole truck. this will prevent 'bulls eyes' and block out a lot nicer. are you going to rent a booth or spray it in the garage

I will shoot it in garage. I left for work this morning before my wife - I'm sure she was not happy when she found her car sitting out in the driveway this morning! But after masking all the glass, I couldn't really move truck - it is parked kind of crossways in garage so I have room on all sides! I am shooting all of it with an etching primer with adhesion promoter - 2 x on bare spots, then 3 coats 2K primer all over. I think the sanding is the worst part of the task!

Plan on taking off at noon again today to work on it. but I planned that yesterday and didn't get out of the office until 3:30. Why is it that everyone needs something as I am trying to walk out the door? (gotta get an office with a back door....)

It's a conspiracy. They all know you have things you would rather be doing, and they all get together and come up with ways to keep you in the office while you aren't looking......

Since one of the distractions is a potential donor to our program who wants to bring his brother as another potential donor......it wasn't all bad. But they want to meet at a time when I am speaking at a statewide conference next week in San Antonio...so working out a meeting time took some time. If sucessful, this will net a LARGE annual contribution AND a brand new facility where I can consolodate three offices into one building...

But I AM painting today!

So you think now......

Good luck on the donors. That would also reduce expenses a bit, not having to pay for two other facilities..... Nice.

I was able to get out of the office at noon....but damn cell phone keeps ringing!

Wiped cab, hood, and fenders down again with wax and grease remover to make sure it was clean. A little dust form sitting in garage overnight.

Got good coat of etching primer down. Witing to dry to shoot 2K.
