hey i got a question monte. i have a 1999 1500 with the 5.2 if that makes a difference, and what my transmission does is it starts off fine in first but once it goes to shift to 2 it takes longer than the other gears to shift and then right after or a few seconds later the rpms jump up a few hundred and grabs again. also when i WOT it only goes up to 2400 or so rpm before shifting instead of going all the way up. any idea of what it could be?
thanks for your help and sorry for the long post

You will have to change out the internal wiring harness. Other than that it should work.

Could be a tv cable adjustment or a bigger issue with the valvebody.

Depends on how long you drive it. If it is the 3rd gear clutches, they will just get worse and worse and eventually give out. Could be tomorrow could be 3 years from now.

Sure cure is the better bet for stock or near stock motors. Ive got many 46re's out with a good build the right updates, and a sure cure, some are work trucks and they are doing fine.

Do the usual. Drop the pan, change the filter, adjust the bands, tv cable, clean the governor solenoids and see whats going on.
