im just going to go with the cam i have picked out. as far as the 1.7's go, i probly wont go with them. once the cam is done my mod process will be complete to my liking. thanks for everyones help, i may be back with more questions as it gets closer to my purchase date.
It's a cool thing watching everybody give their Constructive opinions and it resulting in somebody getting the help they asked for! Sounds like this will be a good build for you!

thanks! i cant wait to start this build. im a bit nervous about it as ive never dug this far into an engine before. with a little reading and determination it will get done! i will be replacing the wp and timing chain at the same time...
there are some great books out there, my favorites are "How To Modify Your Mopar Magnum V8" and "How To Rebuild The Small-Block Mopar". Another good thick book is "Small Block A Engines" and of course the factory repair manual.

Have you done your plenum yet? If not, when you are in there for the cam would be a perfect time..... intake has to come off anyway to prevent you from dropping lifters in places they shouldn't be when you yank the cam. (makes it one HELL of a lot easier.......)
I got the .25 inch double roller timing set from advanced. Don't remember the brand, (lifetime warranty though....) I was amazed at how much performance I picked up with JUST having the timing set changed. Noticeable difference.
