So what is the ride like with the longer springs...does it make much of a difference in stiffness or sidesway. I was looking into this earlier to gain 2" more of front suspension travel but didn't get much feedback...the feedback i did get said it would be much stiffer when the plow is not on.
So now i have 2" coil spacers that i am about to put on the front but after reading this i am still wondering if used 2500 springs would be better/cheaper. Also, I am throwing new Bilstein HD shocks on all four corners.

as stated in your plowing post jeremy, the ride isnt much stiffer. its a truck, no matter what you do the ride will be stiff. diesel springs are amazing with a plow truck. my truck drops maybe an inch. i have an 8ft plow too. with my stock springs it used to bottom out and then some. now that i have the diesels its a whole different animal!
