You'll also need a new by pass hose, antifreeze, oil and filter and some RTV for the corners where the rubber gaskets meet the fiber gaskets on the side.

What temp t-stat do you guys use? Ive been trying to decide between the 160 and 180, because the one i have now (OE im guessing) runs too hot for my liking

I havent checked my plenum plate yet to see if its even leaking, but i bought the kit anyways because she ate 2qts in about 4500 miles and my gas mileage sucks (13mpg 80%hwy @ 60-65mph) so im assuming my pre-cat o2 is fouled out, i plan on replacing the PCV too.

The 160* will be too cold and you'll probably get a code about taking too long for the engine to warm up. I've been running the same top of the line NAPA 180* stainless steel stat for 8 years and it's still working perfectly.

That second pic tells the story of what the inside of the intake manifold should look like when you have a blown belly pan gasket. Sorry but it's time for the fix.

Did my plenum repair last week (along with the water pump, timing set, t-stat, and distributor). I bought the plate off eBay and used the plate bolts that came with it; bought a Fel-Pro gasket set, and went to the dealer for new plenum bolts. Runs fine, now I just have to get rid of a finicky air pocket that's making it overheat...
