I don't know that as mine only has one temp sensor. The block drain on a 5.2L is 3/8 pipe.

i went to the store cuz i needed a new temp sensor...in their systems, my temperature sensor is a two prong. my gauge sensor is only a one prong. i'm curious, would i be able to use the one sensor i have in the IM as a dual purpose? just wire into it? just throwing ideas out there.

Go to the parts manual here on DF, get the correct part number, and go back to store with that to cross refernce. Wrong sensor will not work, and using one sensor for both uses not doable either.

Well, the beast is alive! lmao! and running quite good i might add! honestly, at this point, i really dont care where the sensor goes...but i'm not taking the IM back off. its good, its sealed, and running fine. lol i might just have to wire a sensor somewhere and see what happens. we'll see i guess. might have to get creative. however, NO more EGR!!! and NO cel! WOOT! LOL

You may check and see if you can put the temp sesnor in the block drain in front of engine mount on driver side. There is more room on driver side than pass side.

you said that was 3/8? is it 3/8 on a 5.9 as well? right now its jerry rigged to the heater hose that comes right out of the IM. we'll see how well it works. i'm mainly just looking for consistency. that way if it strays from a set of "new" numbers, i'll know something is wrong lol.

Which sensor is in right now? I'm 99% you can't do the both sensors on one thing..sounds like one sensor is for the dash gauge and the other has to do with air/fuel/PCM stuff...with no CEL on I'm guessing you don't have the dash temp gauge sensor in so if you can live without knowing the running temp no big deal...
