I put a 2" spacer on a guys 2wd with a 3" body and 35's and it looked pretty good. It was close to being as tall as mine when it only had a 5" lift.

i may do that. if not ill do the 6 inch fabtech lift of just spindles/blocks and a 2 inch body lift

I think this is a 3" spindle lift and 3" body lift together. The 2" spacer and body lift would look similar if you run 35s:

where are yall finding these pictures cause i cant find very many at all. and im just looking to fit 35s with a little flex room. looking for around 5-6 inches of lift.

haha oh i bet. im about convinced to just do the 6.5 fabtech or the doestch 6 on 35s.

97- what kind of rear diff do you have? I have the tow PKG 3.55 stock. I'm running 32s and on the highway it needs a little more OOMFF to get goin to pass anyone. I plan on doin 3.92s or 4.10s before I go anything over 33s.

On the '01 4x2 2.5" is the most you can lift without having to get larger upper control arms right? My question if you level the front end, does that take away from how much you can lift without having to get bigger upper control arms?

Depends on how you lift it. If you go with longer springs, then yes, you need to replace the control arms. If you do spindles, then, you don't. Its all about operating angles of that upper ball joint.
