Yes I did verify with a mechanical gauge. Once warmed up at idle it's got 6-7lbs of oil pressure at idle(650-700 RPM). And if I just barely push the throttle it goes back up to 20-25lbs of oil pressure at 1K RPMs. This is what's got be baffled because on previous engines I've had with bad clearances the oil pressure didn't raise much even with higher RPMs.

Wonder if it's the pump/regulator that is faulty, and not bearing clearances.......

I guess it could be. Just hate when stuff happens at the same time I'm doing something else. Makes it harder to pinpoint the cause.

Sure sounds more like a oil pump and/or relief spring issue as of now.

While I'm not thrilled about the idea of having to drop the oil pan it's gunna have to happen soon.

Ordered a new oil pump for the engine today. Will get it torn down in the next few days so I can replace it once it arrives.

Took the Jeep out for a 35 minute drive today and while it was OK and I made it home I'm not happy with how it's running. There just isn't the power there that this engine should have. And under 1500 or 1600 RPM it would start shaking sort of like a shudder.

Rear axle temps only got up to 125*
Transmission temps were 175*

Misfiring?

Can you do data logging on that? Might need to adjust the tune some.

Yes was data logging the whole time and have sent the file to Ryan for a new tune. Hopefully the new tune will help out some. The only faults I had were for one injector.

A just because picture.... Dang it looks good.

New oil pump & oil pan gasket & 2 gallons of break in oil arrived around 4PM today.

Dropped the exhaust and then the oil pan. Removed the old oil pump but didn't take it apart yet. But I did verify that it was a high volume oil pump which I guess was the wrong pump from what I'd read.

Installed the new oil pump but will wait until tomorrow morning to install the oil pan. Once I have that done I'm going to try out a new exhaust setup.

The exhaust note is still too loud for my tastes so I'm going to try something else. Since I'd pushed the rear axle back 5" I didn't have room for a tailpipe to exit the rear like it does stock. So I'm going to try combining these two muffler to see it will quiet the exhaust down just a little bit more.

The round exhaust has a spiral inside they claim helps to reduce the exhaust sound.

This is a single chamber muffler but it's about a larger as I can fit under the Jeep.

My idea is to put the two of them together and see if it helps.

It would sit under the Jeep approximately like this.

I don't have a lot of room under the Jeep.
