Ask them to show you the metal from your supposedly blown steering box, that is causing pumps to fail on such a regular basis.

I think they are full of (deleted) personally. Wonder if they bothered to flush the system this time.....

I was thinking the same thing. Are they asking for more money or just refusing to correct the issue?

Is this something you think you can tackle yourself if you can get another pump?

Well, you paid them to fix it. They didn't fix it. They evidently warranty their work, else they wouldn't have gone after it a second time... and certainly not a third. If they don't have your old pump, and are unable to solve your problem, the LEAST they should do is refund the labor...... Find out where they got the pump from, it should have a warranty as well. Trade it in on a BETTER pump...... You shouldn't have to pay for this twice....

You could always tell them to split the cost and refund half your money and you'll leave them alone. If they refuse again, tell them you'll be in contact with the Better Business Bureau, the Chamber of Commerce, and you'll be contacting a lawyer about a possible suit.

yup its a bunch of b.s. I know they didn't replace my pump the 3rd time I mean for it to make the exact same noise is kind of fishy.I'm gonna try one last time to get my $ back.Guess Ill pick up a new pump. Now like I said I stuck a stethascope to ps pump&could hear the rattling was coming from there. So does the pump come with a new pulley?Could it be anything else with my truck making them go bad?I had just had my ball joints&tie rod ends checked out &I'm 100%sure the noise is coming from the ps pump.I live in the country with tons of windy back roads Id hate for the pump to ha bad while on one.Btw I know my tensioner pulley is going bad but its not real worn.

Most pumps don't come with pulley. You need a special tool to install it. If you just set the pulley on there, and whack it on with a hammer.... well, you are going to trash the pump. I would like to think the shop knows that, and actually HAS the tool..... But, in any event, pulley is just pressed on to the pump shaft. With the right tool, its rather hard to screw it up.......
