RE: what fan to use
SummitRacing.com, Jegs.com, Quadratec.com, 4wheelparts.com, Alloutoffroad.com;I installed an electric fan in my 97 Jeep Wrangler Sport 4.0 and it helped out alot. I just recently bought a 1998 Ram 1500 Sport 4X4 and is looking to do the same thing. These websites should help.

RE: what fan to use
For fitment/proper size I contacted Flex a Lite on their tech support line. The tech answered all my questions and I ended up getting all the right stuff the first try, worked perfect too. Good luck, and pls post what you end up using.

RE: what fan to use
go to the junk yard and get the e-fans from a 99 or newer ford windstar..i paid 13 bucks for mine and they work just as well as the ones from summit, jegs and othe vendors for a lot cheaper...if you want pictures and what not, let me know and ill get you some before you decide to shell out big bucks for the big name fans

RE: what fan to use
I retro fitted a Flex-a-Lite Monster fan onto my ram and it's a beast. Way more than enough cooling power. I designed my own custom brackets as well as a way to mount a coolant catch can and wind sheild fluid can. People are always shocked to see how much room there is between the engine and the fan. I can stand in there to work on my truck.
If there would be some interest in the brackets I would consider making a batch. They're designed on CAD and made out of Aluminum. I will get some pics if someone PMs me.
